Chris Morgan's Wildnotes

Chill in the air

Breaking through the fog on a climb near my home, into the sunshine of the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by giant cedars. Fresh, scented air feels good in my lungs this morning.

  1. It was 64 degrees in Maryland today. Spent time assessing and planning work on the trails at Woodend Sanctuary in Chevy Chase Maryland, Aubudon Naturalist Society. We saw a red tail fox and several deer including a buck although there is a deer culling program in that area currently. The sanctuary deer are protected and we are currently conducting a deer count to assess the culling program. Storms coming to our area tomorrow-Irene I., Mas. Gardener, Mas. Naturalist, Tree Steward in Montgomery County Maryland
